themes/regions/periods
This course is organized in a thematic manner, consisting of five overarching themes which help to unify the content throughout the various periods of history as well as compare and contrast the world's societies. The themes also provide a vehicle for students to make comparisons over time and facilitate cross-period questions. Each theme will receive equal attention throughout the course and will be addressed in each unit.
